I had some time on my hands, and sat down and tried to make a list, off the top of my head, of the albums that had the most impact to me, and then I researched when they were released. Of course, this is a completely subjective exercise, but, what I found, in general, was that these albums fell into a general region I have since called "The Golden Age of Rock and Roll". From Revolver to Animals. (Not to say, there have not been fabulous albums since then, but never in such a concentrated era.) Here's my list:

1966

Revolver

1967

The Doors

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band

Are You Experienced

Strange Days

Disraeli Gears

Magical Mystery Tour

1968

Waiting for the Sun

Shades of Deep Purple

Electric Ladyland

Beggar’s Banquet

White Album

1969

Surrealistic Pillow

Led Zeppelin

Chicago Transit Authority

Crosby Stills & Nash

Santana

Abbey Road

In the Court of the Crimson King

Led Zeppelin II

Let It Bleed

1970

Déjà vu

Abraxas

Led Zeppelin III

12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus

1971

Tapestry

Aqualung

Sticky Fingers

L.A. Woman

Allman Brothers - Live at the Fillmore

Who’s Next

Meddle

Led Zeppelin IV

1972

Manassas

Exile on Main Street

1973

Dark Side of the Moon

Countdown to Ecstasy

Tres Hombres

1975

Born To Run

Wish You Were Here

1977

Aja

Animals

(Let me know if I missed any great ones.)

What are you listening through?
I just ran across this sale and highly recommend these for music. I’ve owned two pair for a couple of years I bought at the $228.00 price, one pair in the bedroom and one pair in the tv room.
Here is a review.

Love his channel
The channel is also worth viewing to learn how his goal to educate has led to some interesting lessons on copyright and YouTube demonetization he passionately explains.
