It changes every time I'm there (which is fine by me,) but here's what comes to mind:

Originally, all my memories were associated with solitude; I used to go to Gulf Trace to hole up inside myself and not have to be sociable:
  • Sitting in a beach chair in the edge of the water (which I take with me EVERY time I go in!) and devouring a stack of books. I liked to go early in the morning, before the other people in the house/neighborhood were up.
  • Biking anywhere from Dune Allen to Seagrove at a leisurely pace along the bike path, often stopping to explore Seaside and Watercolor. Once upon a time, my practical reason was to go to Modica Market for something or another. Now, if I really need something I go to Publix, but I might stop by Modica anyway for the heck of it.
  • Another early morning bike ride to Seaside on Sunday mornings, before anyone else is really stirring. I like to go to the church by myself.
  • Back to the beach late at night, by myself.
Later, it was
  • Seeing my old friend Hop and Mrs. Hop, who had just moved there.
Now:

  • Kickball
  • Attempting to surf
  • (Insert some other new, funn activity here)
  • Catching up with new friends
  • "Family time" with very old friends...
This makes me realize that I really, really need to build a hut down there...
