I so miss all that.... plus I just miss having a really casual mexican restaurant nearby. one that is very comfortable to hang out in, munch on salsa and cheese dip, BA margaritas, and visit with friends on a regular basis. at a reasonable price.

Us too. It's surprising that there's not one like that in SoWal -- you know, with entrees under $10.

I think we have pizza covered. ;-)

I miss not having the constant interruption/noise of cell phones and apps - especially at the table.

And cool old cars.

Everyone in my family (sons.dil,sister etc) except me have blackberries,iphones and all they do is look at them, no matter where we are (cept in church) it sorta bothers me.
I was sorta watching people at the high school game the other night, at least 1 out of every 2 people that walked past my seat was looking down at the phone in their hand. that just ain't right...what about the game or at the least other live people you are with??

Me too, those big ol' pucking margaritas, girl lunches, that's where I met DD for the first time. Good times at Coco's, food...well I miss the big pucking margaritas and the good times!

Remember it like it was yesterday! I was so honored that a SoWal icon would hang around to meet me. It was love at first sight.

I searched and found these discussed back in 2/2009. Mine is now almost 32 years old. When it goes, I guess I'll just grow a beard because I can't see chin hairs in any other mirror.

And then, you'll know my frustration, BR.

Product: Revlon Herbal makeup remover in the off white metal jar. It was green, gooey and the best stuff evah.

Person: My mama.

Food: Lemon Coolers. I can't search for them because I will eat a whole box in one sitting.

the big "mountain" sand dunes we used to have in South Walton. Spent some time at Topsail this weekend and felt sad remembering and telling my son and grandchildren how it used to be.

Whip 'n Chill - kind of like chocolate mousse. We always made it and ate it while we watched Bonanza - YUM!

I was gonna say that stuff but couldn't remember the name of it. I have been trying to think of that name for seriously 20 years. Well, I quit thinking about it sometimes. It also came in vanilla. I do miss it.

Cheese waffles. They were so salty and crisp! Lemon-Up shampoo..that smell was the best!!

I loved Lemonup shampoo!

Nabisco's Brown Edge Wafer cookies. I have found a few recipes that claim they are exactly the same. We will see.

Real home grown tomatoes on the side of the road. REAL! Like your neighbors!

And peaches and blackberries. We always stopped at those places. Daddy would make blackberry preserves. Yum!

I miss Daddy.

I miss the way the corner of 30A and 395 used to look.

I miss running (ruined my knees).

I miss being able to talk on the phone with my Mom (she has Alzheimer's and can only rarely carry on a conversation).

And in a totally different category, as of yesterday I miss the Laura Mercier eyeliner pencil that didn't have to be sharpened (it just twisted like a mechanical pencil). I needed a new one, and the woman at the Laura Mercier told me that they no longer make it.
