I can't say, as I don't know many jet ski owners, and don't see many operators of jet skis around here. I've never been craziness enough to go to Crab Island either, but I would venture to guess that there is not a lot of difference in the color of the necks of the people on the boats vs the people on the jetskis.

Thanks SJ. I'm in total agreement with you. People that ride and like waverunners are not a different "type", or class of people. My husband and I are not any different than anyone else on this board. A person having less money and not being able to afford a boat does not make them any less of a person than a person with money. Not in my eyes anyway.

Don't you just hate a redneck with money, JB? :rotfl: Who knew that there were rednecks in Italy?

Actually, yes I do. Well, the word "hate" may be a little strong. But yeah, they're the worst.

Waverunner owners = NASCAR fans and deer hunters.

Thank God they are few and far between in SoWal.

No one said they were less of a person (except you). Ask yourself one question: Why don't you see many waverunners in SoWal? Why are they everywhere in PCB? Because of the difference in the types of people who frequent these two areas.

Hey JB- how was your vacay? You didn't post a trip report!!:dunno:

Big funn....until the last day.

I was so sick with tonsilitis when I got home, I forgot. There are bits and pieces around. Check out the "golf instructor" thread. Strange place for a trip report, but that's just how it worked out.

We actually stay in Inlet Beach, which is Walton County, I've taken pictures of a few waverunners from the deck of the townhouse we rent, no more than 50 yards offshore. Do people along 30A allow waverunners??? I doubt it, because of the noise factor, that is probably why few are seen.

The real reason we don't see them here probably has more to with not having a place to launch them.

I found these two on the beach at Grayton a week or so ago, around sunset. I wonder if they illegally trailered them off the beach from here or rode them home.

True. But you must admit, a certain "type" of individual seems to be attracted to waverunners. An over-generalization on my part? Maybe. But I call em like I see em.

How about a woman who can't get a "real boat" in the water.
