It's about a ten foot wide 6 inch deep band of grass. The June grass hasn't started yet.

I should have specified sargassum in my question.

What is the Sargassum (the brown prickly kind) situation at Grayton?

Not the bright green Cladophora colloquially known as June Grass..

It is great for a seaweed/sand rub - takes dead skin off and makes you feel new. Not kidding.

It is also quite comfy to lay on and the kids have a blast wearing it and throwing it at each other. Harmless unless you get an eye full - make sure they wear sunglasses. There isn't much funnier than a 6-year old seaweed monster dripping with the stuff.
