The top half is missing, and it is rather large...the next lunar eclipse is not until January 2008 according to the calendar.

Maybe it got vandalized.

Bsmart, I thought you were s'posed to b-smart or sumfin. It's just a plain ol' half moon--nobody stole the top of it. I saw it last night. (I saw the bottom, that is. The top isn't lit up.)

I'm not fer sher on this, but I think that the moon usually does look larger this time of year. I remember a few Decembers ago having a full moon party because it was supposed to be the largest full moon in our lifetime or something like that.

I do remember that largest full moon event, that was when I was a senior in high school back in December 1999 I think?

In the winter we get a little closer to the moon making it seem larger.

It flips every so often so it goes through its phases while up and down, instead of one its side.

My favorite thing is when you look up and see the moon red/orange. It aways takes my breath away.

Oh, Lordy...don't remind us that you're a young 'un! (I was at least a sophomore in college then, right?)

The moon is amazing pretty much all the time...
