Beach Report - Slightly windy and very overcast 64F degrees with potential thunderstorms rolling in later this morning. I may have to wear socks today.

I hope I have been a good girl because it sure is lightning and thundering BAD here this morning. I had to run to my office door so I wouldn't get struck...and while I am on the subject shouldn't umbrella's be made out of plastic? I felt like I was a lightning rod this morning. I was skeerd!!!

You were a lightning rod this morning. Metal just helps lightning more easily find its way to the ground, but even if your umbrella was made of fiberglass, as many golf umbrellas are, take caution and seek shelter when lightning is nearby.kathydwells said:
