What the heck is going on with the whole Pelosi / Waterboarding thing?

I can't get the straight scoop. At first Pelosi didn't know about it, then apparently she knew about it but was told it wasn't happening, and then I guess one of her aids knew it was going on and told her about it, but she doesn't remember that or something, and now apparently today she claimed the CIA lied to her and told her it was going on when it wasn't. To top things off, by the time she knew it was going on, she wasn't on the intelligence committee anymore so apparently it wasn't her responsibility to do anything about, or some such nonsense.

Is there something to this or is Nancy Pelosi simply on drugs.

There are so many conflicting articles on this I haven't found a definitive time line of events, and apparently the dems in Congress are trying to quite the whole thing up. On top it, supposedly there are some classified reports about the whole water boarding thing that Obama is refusing to release.

Pelosi is a joke. There are many Democrates that are much wiser, more refined and dignfied than her. I have long wondered how she arrived at such a lofty position. I remember her as being a very vocal opposition to the Republicans prior to being speaker, which is part of paying your dues to your specific party I guess, but she is horrible and terribly divisive. And to top it off, she appears to be on crack. And if that is Botox that got her face to look like that, someone shoot her doctor please.

I would not want someone like that leading me. Whether you agree with the policies of someone like Obama or not, he is a good front man, without a doubt. Pelosi on the other hand, is like someone that would be hidden away by her family in a dungeon or something.

I wish the Democrates would pick a more viable speaker.

The queen of facelifts, boobjobs, expensive hair salons, and expensive clothing and jewelry is nervous. See how she shook in her Manolos or Jimmy Choos when she spoke today?

That being said, I have personal knowledge of Greek organizations at Georgia Tech doing what is considered as torture to their pledges. These practices are kept silent because at GT if you are not Greek, you are in the no-man's land of the totally nerdy and the no-social-skills underclass. That is like being in hell unless you are such a nerd you don't get it.

He informed me that the briefing had taken place. ... When -- when -- when my staff person -- I'm sorry, the page is out of order -- five months later, my staff person told me that there had been a briefing -- informing that there had been a briefing and that a letter had been sent. I was not briefed on what was in that briefing; I was just informed that the briefing had taken place.

I live for moments like that. I'm starting to think Obama should go ahead and form up a Democratic Truth Commission. Maybe we'll get ourselves another Abramoff!

Another Republican Diversionary Tactic: I believe 100% that the CIA lied to Nancy Pelosi, as they have lied to Leahy, Bob Graham, and others in Congress. It was how the Bush Administration did it evil business. I do hope MORE comes out though--there is a very, very good reason Dick Chenery is now in the process creating a "good offense" --all sh--t is about to hit the fan in front of him, and Darth Cheney knows it! (Bush Sr. told W. to just keep his mouth shut for now).

Let us NOW open up and reveal the entire "chain of command" on torture and law breaking, be it a Truth Commission or Special Procecutor (just dont use Kenneth Starr)! Bush, Cheney, and Rove's little butts are twitching right now.

The news refers to waterboarding for months as "torture", but as soon as Pelosi is implicated in having prior knowledge of it suddenly the news is referring to it as an "enhanced interrogation technique".

Beach Runner, the Greeks at GT are totally nerdy as well. They just don't realize it. I guarantee that every person on that campus can quote something from Battleship Galactica.
