I've already gotten some cool new stuff from this thread. Thanks!

I use iTunes, but there are other programs, too. iTunes isn't just for:love: Macs:love: (which I am having a full-blown love affair with mine.)

If you have an iPod and you don't know what to do with it, just go to apple.com and download iTunes for free. Then attach the nano or shuffle or whatever you have with the cord that came with it to the port in your computer.

It'll walk you thru the setup of your shuffles, nanos, etc. and you'll be downloading music in no time. If you know how to click and drag, then you can work an ipod.

My favorite thing about the i Pod, is that you can put EVERYTHING on it! I have all of my favorites: earth wind and fire, Chaka Kahn, coldplay, eagles, james taylor, barry manilow......just to name a few. My playlists are set up by mood: fun, rainy day, romance, hard day.....

I think the i Pod is the best invention of my time!

Mine too! I love that I can have Tom Jones and Brian Eno on there with Judy Garland and The Smith's. And they all get along so well in there.

I have different mixes for parties, too. I have my Christmas mixes, Halloween party mix, parents-over-for-dinner mix, and my husband's favorite mix, the mix I like to call Cheech and Chong:D.
