Stuffing with oysters or without? Cranberry sauce chunky or smooth? Pumpkin pie or pecan pie or both?

Who's coming to sit around the table?

And best of all, what are you most thankful for this year?

Oh, forget that last question; I see that SJ has beat me to the punch on it! Let's talk about what's on the plate. :D

Hey Mermaid! You are back at home I presume. It was so great to meet and the man. My youngest will be home for Thanksgiving and we are looking for some place to volunteer. Then will spend the rest of the weekend with friends and family. Hope you have a wonderful Holiday! :D

I am thankful that I have all of my family members and friends around me, and that I have a nice warm home to come to at the end of the day.

On the menu (mom, aunts and grandma do all of the cooking at each other's house then we meet at a different family members house on rotational basis year after year):

turkey
cornbread stuffing (or "dressing" as it is called in the south)
macaroni casserole
potato salad
Honey Baked Ham (bought fresh from The Honey Baked Ham Co.)
broccoli casserole
roasted asparagus
sweet creamed corn
mashed potatoes
giblet gravy
sugar snap peas w/pecans

sweet potato pie
coconut cake
strawberry cake
nut cake (pecans in butter cream icing--century old family recipe)

I just ran to publix to get some things together for my sweet potato casserole. My favorite!

Steele Mama, yes, we're back to the freezing Midwest as of midnight Sunday. We managed to stay an extra day in Paradise! It was wonderful meeting you and the family. The wedding was THE BEST. Your daughter looked like a princess bride. :clap_1:

We're visiting friends for Thanksgiving as we do nearly every year since we have no family here in Indiana. Though our friends feel like family; we've spent so many Thanksgivings with them! I'm in charge of vegetables. My veggie dishes give the old turkey a run for the money.

2 kinds of stuffing
2 kinds of cranberry sauce
2 many pies (did I say that? Never too many pies!)

My kind of turkey dinner.

I am totally impressed that a 23 yr. old man has any idea what is being prepared for Thanksgiving. :clap_1:
