A marvelous black wool overcoat that originally belonged to my grandmother, who probably bought it in New York. Assorted cowboy boots purchased from Western thrift shops, already broken in... a denim jacket and a denim duster...

My old stuff is way more comfy and fun than anything I've been able to find in stores the last few years! I'm ready for pants and jeans that sit at my waist line and tops that are long enough to cover the belly without landing at and bringing unwanted attention to my widest part, pear-shaped being that I am.

Offhand I would say I, myself am the oldest thing in my closet, or my protective shere from a prejudiced society... But things are changing a lot nowadays, and I beginnng to feel more love and acceptance everywhere I go, I also....

...OH, YOUR TALKING ABOUT CLOTHES OR SHOES!!! ...(nevermind).
Then it is my zebra print, 100% polyester, disco NikNik shirt from the 70's--but I only where it on Halloween, ok.

I typically wear out most clothes in about ten year, or much quicker, some in only two years, so I don't have much wearable clothing over 8 years. Two years ago, I retired a North Face Fleece which was about 18 years old, and I wore it every year. It was really beginning to fall apart, so I bought a replacement, and gave the old one away.

I'm Scotch-German and the littlest one in my generation, so a good deal of my wardrobe has been around a decade or 2 or 3 - though most of those items are "work clothes" not something I wear to social functions.

My oldest items would probably be a plaid wool shirt that my father got in his teens and that I inherited about 15 years ago to keep me warm on wilderness trips in Canada (and last wore for a football game at Thanksgiving) or an old pair of Grandpa's jeans (so old they're flares from the first time around) that I keep at my brother's house to use as my work pants when I visit - complete w/ a rope belt ala Ellie May to keep them up!

My oldest nice items would be a variety of wool sweaters or coats - whose pockets and linings I have destroyed and replaced/repaired several times.

Alright guys. Any of you willing to admit you're still hanging onto a few ties?

Oh, ties. I do still have a cluster of ties, but I haven't worn a tie since I moved to the beach. I'm sure some are from the early 1990's.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
My two pairs of faded black stretch exercise leggings with two white lines down the sides (they're probably over 10 years old). I noticed that everyone wears yoga pants these days rather than these kinds of leggings. I wear them around the house and for walks, but rarely out (I bought two pairs of yoga pants for going out in - and, when I feel like it, exercising in, too).
