Silence of the Lambs book is much, much scarier!!! Seriously. Definatley one of those books that you jump at every little noise while you're reading it.

You are so right! At the beach one year I read "Hannibal" - couldn't put it down, but was completely disturbed. I never wanted to see the movie!

I couldn't go in my basement for years!! I just knew the guy in the red and white stripped pj's with no eyes, was living under my steps!!! Still creeps me out. I always have to run up the last 3 steps because that's were the monsters get you!

And speaking of "old" movies, I used to be terrified of Bette Davis in "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane." My older brother used to tell me that she was going to come baby-sit me!
