Maybe he fell down a rabbit hole. 
Pure conjecture here, but he is probably waiting for this silly oil spill thingy to die down just a bit, before he sends his daughter out to start telling everyone again how unsafe the country is under Obama. He reminds me a lot of Bin Laden, hiding out, waiting for his moment to have the national stage again, in a vain and sad attempt to rewrite history in his favor.
