I usually do leave the white lights up on my porch. The lighting is so much easier on the eyes than the glaring single bulb. I took them down though because I mistakenly bought lights with WHITE wiring which was equally glaring. Yep, I'm pretty redneck. Sometimes I even have a baby on my hip too.

We put some lights up the trunk of a pine tree at the old family estate. As far as I know they are still there unless the pine tree has fallen down.
