My problem has more to do with not throwing out the skinny clothes, thinking that I'll one day fit back into them.

I can relate!! I've still got stuff from the 70's I just can't part with.

I have some really cute things that I don't want to have around because I don't want to ever fit in them again. I can't just throw them out, though, because a lot of it is really nice...some of it bought while I was losing weight and was worn maybe two or three times. I keep trying to think of a way to post, "Hey, does anyone want my fat clothes?" in a non-offensive way.

I just hate for them to go to Goodwill and end up being sold by the pound rather than put to good use. I don't want them here, though...it is like giving myself permission to gain back the weight.

I don't have the guts to toss any of my bigger sizes.
I feel like I am a combination of scaredy-cat and cheapskate.
I have clothes ranging from size 8 down to size 4; I'm wearing a 4 or 6 these days.
It's fine and dandy to saunter around in a smaller size, but well-fitting clothes can be expensive.
It's been a mixed blessing going to lower sizes, mostly all I have to wear is jeans.

Punzy, try a resale shop. There's an upscale one near us that will donate your clothing to charity if it doesn't sell within an allotted amount of time. Maybe you could find one like that?

And speaking of Goodwill--I'm heading there today to look for a prom gown!!

Punzy--I had someone give me her "fat" clothes and I wasn't at all offended. She was just ahead of me in the game. She gave me some of her favorite clothes, great clothes, beautiful clothes. She didn't want to give them to Goodwill, either, and she knew that her "fat" clothes were smaller than mine.

Now they're too big for me, and my mother is losing weight. She is going through my castoffs, and is shooting for getting into my friend's castoffs. Remember, too, that you're a petite person. Your "fat" clothes wouldn't fit around my left leg because I'm build differently.

You'll find the right owner. Meanwhile, box them up so that you can't get to them!

Instead of throwing good clothes & shoes out, we just pass them around. It's hilarious to see who can and can't wear what because of different body shapes/heights/sizes.

Keeps the closets less cluttered and there is less stress about discarding because it isn't leaving forever, it's just going visiting!

Anyone is welcome at any time to offend me with recyclables:wave: I'll play them forward and continue the love if they don't fit :D
