Thanks Singingchicken, for showing the website featuring Adrian Belew. It was amazing to see him as a normal, smart, articulate guy when so much of his music is completely off the wall. I found out about the "new" King Crimson, oddly enough, from seeing them on Saturday Night Live, somewhere in the early 80's. I bought the "Discipline" album, and frankly, it changed my life. It opened me up to Adrian Belew, Robert Fripp, and a complete new branch of (for lack of a better expression) "avant garde" music. He has to be one of the most unique guitarists in the business and has an incredibly creative, humorous gift for writing quirky, yet beautiful lyrics as well. As with all really creative individuals, some of it is just too experimental to handle, but other songs by Belew and King Crimson are just plain sublime and transcendent. I urge all of you to sample "Discipline" and you'll know what I mean.
