The question occurred to me stuck in traffic this morning. It seems we are in a bad streak. Bonus points for avoiding kneejerk Reagan votes without explanation. I can't easily answer the question, but the bad president list is growing.

I don't know, but some of the so-called bad ones passed legislation that was crucial to the betterment of our society. LBJ for example. Yet he is considered to be a bad president. I think they all do really poorly in some ways. Reagan set the tone for extreme right wing nutjobbery. Maybe Bush Senior was better than people give him credit for. We wouldn't be in the mess we are in if his son had his ability to think things through. This is not an easy question to answer.

Bill Clinton was good and so is Obama. Bushes were OK but I don't like starting unneeded wars as a social program. I fear that the way politics is now that any potential for greatness has been eliminated.

I'm not really down on Obama. I think in light of recent news regarding moderate Islamist nuts essentially selling Foley to ISIS, I'm glad he is taking a measured perhaps even hesitant approach. there are no good guys.

I think Clinton was a really good president. One of the best in modern times. I think Obama is doing a very good job, considering what problems have been thrown at him. Remember, the economy started crashing while he was still running for president. He stepped into one of the biggest crisis this country has faced. He didn't initiate the Affordable Care Act; it was a piece of legislation that has been brewing for nearly 30 years. It was forced ahead by the Congress, and passed by Congress. He was able to end the war in Iraq, and keep us out of war in Syria. Remember folks, if we had supplied weapons to the "opposition" in Syria (like McCain was rallying for) we would have been supplying weapons to ISIS. Even now, if we want to strike decisively against ISIS, we have to have the cooperation of Syria. It might seem like indecisiveness to some people, but it seems like his diligence in assessing the Syrian situation, was a wise move.

I think people are hung up on Obama's personality. He's not much of a schmoozer, but then I don't know f I'd be schmoozing with a tearful drunken pumpkin myself given the opportunity. Also it's not Obama's fault that we may need to occupy the Middle East until Hell freezes over.
