Hey there -
My name is Justin Krupa - My company is Xtreme Computers - I can replace that power supply with a standard 400W PS for $75 including labor and I'll come to you. Even better, I can replace it with a completely silent one at 700W for about $110. Again, that is with labor and on-site installation.

Our computer did the same thing last year. We thought it was the power supply too. We never replaced it though, we opened the tower and blew all the dust out. Haven't had any problems since!
Good first start. Those things shut down to protect themselves and are really bad about getting dust in the heat sinks and clogging up.

I have almost 30 years experience, and used to run a retail computer store in the Dallas area that custom built 400+ machines per month and was a service center for NEC. I now do computer repair, consulting, networking, upgrades, custom builds, websites, etc. in the Santa Rosa Beach area.
I work onsite in the area at $40 for the first hour and $20/hour after that. I will locate and install components, being uprgaded or replaced do to defect and pass the parts prices on at cost, only charging for the time to install. Most upgrades, repairs can be done for the $40 for the first hour price + parts cost.
