my hubby said it got pretty nasty here, and apparently indianapolis took a beating. i was at work in the basement, where we have no windows or contact with the outside world. in this instance it was nice because we were totally oblivious to the storms. our tornado sirens went off about 10 pm or so. our yard and deck are full of tree debris.

glad you are all ok pea - i would've been scared to death, as i get older i get more scared of storms.

PP what mall where you at? We got hit pretty good down south. Lost power until 5:30 this morning. :bang: I had just been grocery shopping too. Had to fill up 3 coolers. But on the bright side, everyone was safe and the house made it through!

That was some wicked weather! I may have dreamed this, but I thought I saw on TV that someone died by the mall at Fairview Heights near Belleville where pea lives!

Sadly, that is true. The roof of a store collapsed. There was also a guy in one of our parks that was caught off gaurd by the storm, and a tree limb fell on him and killed him. This storm came REALLY fast. I was sitting outside and in 3 minutes all hell was breaking loose! Had just about enought time to grab a the kids and a flashlight and head for the basement!

Yes, that's right where we were. That store collapse made national news, I know, and we were right there, saw it firsthand and were just in shock to see the damage.
So, I guess you figured out it was St. Clair Square, kt. Just a mess in that area, had to see it to believe it.
