That is probably a bit of a stretch and as some radio star recently said he hesitated to put "st" on the end of a descriptive word. However, I went on a road trip this weekend up to the far north west corner of Georgia. On the way home I saw a name of a street, which imho, is one of the WORST names for a street I've EVER seen -- Hog's Liver Road. Do you know any street names that are undesirable, in your most humble opinion?

Right here in South Walton, I've always thought it was a little odd that someone would name a street "Sand Flea" in a beach community.

Here in South Walton, that might be considered a "good name." The sand fleas here aren't really "fleas." They are about the size of your thumb when grown, found under the first waves and sand along the shore and are excellent bait for pompano (which should be running now or soon). I even have a "sand flea" rake to help catch them. Young people with good backs can just bend over and scoop them up in their hands. It will be low tide this afternoon. Might take it down and see if I can catch any.

There actually is such thing as a sand flea, but Hop is right -- what we call sand fleas are mole crabs. I know of a Mosquito Alley, and Sand Flea Ln over in Gulf County. Worse than Hog's Liver, is a street in Asheville NC named, "Short Coxe." I'm not sure why they call it "short" because there isn't a "Long Coxe."
