New plan - if I win the lotto it will be how I celebrate my 50th!

Better start buying tickets, otherwise plan is to do it at 100!

Love that Branson doesn't care if he breaks even and put his mom (from the 40's) on the side as the logo.

What do you think is an "affordable" price?

I am trying to compare it to other major/extreme trips and I am thinking $30-50K. I think Antarctica is $20K.

Yes, I think we're on the same page. Richard Branson charges $250K now? Maybe it's more than that. $30K would be a bargain, doncha think?

I believe it is currently $200K - and doubt the price will go down much as they don't think he can break even on costs at that price and there are a lot of people who can easily afford that price.

Considering my love of flying, that would be a.............no.

I'm with you. And there is so much on planet Earth that I really want to see first- if I am going to screw up my courage again and do lots of flying, it will be to places on my bucket list. Space isn't on it.

Branson sets the bar pretty high for cool though, doesn't he?

Definitely gets cool points.

I would fly to space in a cocaine heartbeat! ;) I think this is utterly amazing and we are witnessing the beginning of a new age of exploration of the universe for mankind. Now if I can just stay alive long enough to be able to afford it! lol

No I would not go to space. But I still love 2001 A Space Odyssey, Star Wars, Star Trek (original) and Space Balls

I bet if someone bought a ticket for $200K and raffled tickets off at $2 a pop, they'd easily double or triple their money in no time at all.

The next "bubble" will be in flipping Virgin Galactic raffle tickets--you heard it here first, folks.
