Hey Skunk, Before I was 30 I had no really allergy and asthma problems and then suddenly BAM. I did allergy shots years ago and wonder if they really made a difference. My allergy/asthma doc told me to quit running. I quit seeing her and turned to a pulmonologist who is also an ultramarathoner. My pulmonologist had me using Nasalcrom to block allergens (of the 10 test blocks on my back and the 15 in my arm, the only thing I did NOT react to was Ragweed). I was also on claritin, Singulair and Advair. We got it down to a point where I only used it during the early spring and early fall when whatever the trigger was seemed to be at its height. I haven't been on anything in two years and am thinking I am going to have to get back on. Something is blooming and we took in a lab puppy. What do you think? Today I tried to run but just walked and coughed instead.
Also...what do you think of the homeopathic approach (kind of like oral allergy shots)? Bioron markets a lot of allergy related remedies.
