Taking a cue from the Otter here, (and needing a temporary respite from troubles & levees & storms)...tell me about your dream car! One you had or one you'd love to have. You're on an endless highway at sunset somewhere in the west, time on your hands. What are you driving? I'll go first.

Let me just say it: I'm a MOPAR girl. If I see an old Plymouth or Dodge muscle car on the side of the road, conversation over, I'm checking it out. It all started with my first used car, an old '73 Duster, still in good shape, with a slant 6 engine (!), bucket seat, b&W with racing stripes.

If I had my dream ride, though, right now it would be a '71 Plymouth Barracuda. Not this color, though, it would be blue with white vinyl convertible top. Mmm, look at that bevelled grill....

What's your ride?

My daddy was one of those guys that traded in his car every year. We had a Karmann Ghia for one year, then...drool...a 69 Cougar XR-7. I was a baby, but I still remember the pattern of the tortoise shell on the dash...as that was all I could see...

My first car at 16 was a 1973 Chevy Nova....I loved it. Right now, my dream car is a Nissan 350z. I think I will get one when I have my mid-life crisis. Which is coming very soon!!!!

I want one of each please. They may seem weird to some, but I love them both.

My father used to buy little bitty sports cars in the fall, work on them all winter, play around in the warm weather with 'em, and then sell and begin the cycle all over again. My mother figured a hobby like that would keep the man out of trouble. :lolabove: We had a Bug Eyed Sprite for a while, and then a Sunbeam Alpine for a longer bit. My father liked those ones the best so he held on to them. He used to take all of us kids on Sunday drives until we all got too big to fit in the little crawl space behind the driver's seat (what else would you call it???)

I'm obsessing about a Karmann Ghia now, Katie Blue, and it's all your fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nono1: :rotfl:
