unless it was built after the last sat mapping pass in you area. ;-) I'm still "off the grid" :D (though probably not for long).

You are only off the public's free access, but believe me, you are not off the grid.

Of course not. One should occasionally shoot a moon skyward in case the NRO folks are feeling bored. :D (whoops, tag food for another alphabet soup computer ;-) )

We were off the grid just a few months ago, but I checked the other day and we're there now.

This stuff really doesn't bother me much. You are more likely to be mugged walking through a parking lot, than you are to be looked up on-line and stalked by a lunatic. As for general privacy, don't do anything illegal or shameful and you have nothing to worry about.

Just wait for the day when I can tell what items you have in your refrigerator, by bar code numbers, from the comfort of my own home. I don't know why I would want to know, but maybe one day I will.

You know, the big box stores are already doing this. They could look in their records and tell you everything you've purchased in the last year. I returned something to Target a few months ago without a receipt, and they took my debit card, scanned it, told me what day I'd bought the item, how much I paid for it, and credited my account.

Yes, but they do not know the levels of the items in your refrigerator. With the Bar Code scanner refrigerator coming forth, we may be able to one day know the quantity, to the ounce, of Orange Juice in your ice box.

Ooohhh, I see. Wouldn't that be something!

Well, the most advanced bit of technology we have in our kitchen is a 10 old microwave. By the time we have a barcode refrigerator, you won't have the eyesight left to take stock. :clap_1:
