Emerald Bay Golf Club Grand Opening SEPT 18

Emerald Bay Golf Club has officially completed their extensive course renovation and is now accepting tee times from the public. The local community is invited to celebrate the completion of this project at the Grand Opening on September 18, 2014, from 5:30-8pm.
 
Attendees will enjoy fresh food catered by Cabana Café, live music by Joey Peters, beverages provided by Republic National Distributors and Gary Bowman, and Chi-Mar-tee-nis sponsored by Chi-Mar Construction. Guests can participate in a putting game to win free rounds of golf, as well as an exciting live and silent auction.
 
The Grand Opening Celebration will be co-hosted in connection with the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours to officially kick off their Annual Chamber Golf Classic, which will be held at Emerald Bay the following Monday, September 22, 2014. The tournament is a scramble format, with two shotgun starts at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided by local restaurant vendors. The Emerald Bay course renovations feature new and enlarged greens and tee boxes, many new bunkers, a significant amount of new cart paths, several new water features and bridges as well as enhanced and additional practice facilities. The greens will be significantly larger with TifEagle Ultra Dwarf Bermudagrass, which provides a very dense surface for improved putting speed and consistency. Original designer and premier golf course architect Bob Cupp returned to Emerald Bay in conjunction with Southeastern Golf, a world-class golf course construction company, to oversee all aspects of the redesign and renovation.
 
In celebration of the enhanced course, Emerald Bay will offer new golf membership programs, a variety of social functions for members and guests and an updated menu at the Golf Grille.
