Adventures in June at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
June 5 | 12pm-1:30pm
Surf Fishing
Surf fishing is a popular sport along the beaches of Topsail Hill. This program will teach you what types of bait will work, what times of year certain fish can be caught, and common fish you can catch from the beach. Fishing gear is optional, the park has fishing gear. This program will take place at the Beach Access, park in the Day Use parking area and catch the 12:00pm Tram to the beach. The program will take place once the 12:00pm Tram arrives at the beach.
June 6 | 2-3pm
Coyotes
You are invited to come learn about our most ubiquitous exotic mammal, the Coyote. This program will cover everything you need to know about Coyotes, where they live, how they survive, and how we manage them in our parks. This is an all ages program. Enter the park through the main gate and the staff will direct you to the park's clubhouse, entry fee is $6.00

Nature Hike
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park will be hosting a nature hike. There are lots of things happening in the preserve, wildflowers, birds nesting and fledging chicks, and beautiful scenery that will satisfy all of your senses. The hike will cover about 1 mile and will cover some of the major ecosystems located in the park. Entry fee into the park is $6 per car, the hike will leave from Tram Stop 1 in the day use parking area. Please no open toed shoes, sunscreen is a must as is water.

Breakfast with a Ranger
You and your family are invited to Breakfast with a Ranger. Join the Rangers of Topsail Hill to learn about the park, its history and to ask them all the questions you can think of about the park its wildlife and anything in between. This program is ideal for the whole family to enjoy. To cover the cost of food, please bring $5, which goes to Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park to enhance the park or bring your own breakfast. Entry fee into the park is waived for this event. Upon stopping at the ranger station the park staff will direct you to the clubhouse.

No Name Lake Hike
Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you to hike to a globally rare and imperiled coastal dune lake. No Name Lake is one of the smallest dune lakes in South Walton County and just like Campbell and Morris Lakes it is pristine. This hike will cover just under 1.5 miles round trip and will culminate in a visit to the shores of No Name Lake and if you are lucky a sighting of the alligators. The cost to enter the park is $6 and the park staff will direct you to the starting point of the hike. The hike will start at tram stop 1 in the day use parking lot. The majority of the hike will be along pavement, only a short portion down to the lake is a sandy trail. Please bring sunscreen and water.
June 27 | 2-3pm
Sharks and Dolphins
Often times these two animals can be seen from the beach, this program will help you identify the differences between the two which will help you discover who's who. There will be a discussion on what to look for and certain behaviors that can useful in spotting both creatures. Enter through the main gate and the staff will direct you to the parks clubhouse, the entry fee is $6.00.
