Gulf Coast Jam - Country on the Coast in Panama City Beach September 26-28

September 13, 2013 by SoWal Staff

Comprised of six stages, the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam is a debut country music festival coming to Panama City Beach September 26-28. The festival is a three-day celebration of sun, fun and country music.

The concert lineup includes 2013 Academy of Country Music Award nominees Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert and the Eli Young Band. Also appearing onstage will be leading country artists Trace Adkins, Kip Moore, The Charlie Daniels Band, Pepsi’s X Factor Winner Tate Stevens, Darryl Worley, Blackberry Smoke and Pepsi’s Southern Original Artist winner, of which finalists will compete at Club LaVela on September 25.

During the day, three beachfront stages will be hosted by Edgewater Golf & Beach Resort, The Boardwalk Beach Resort and Seahaven Beach Resorts. Festival-goers will watch their favorite performers as they stand on the white “sugar sand” beach and dip their toes in the water. As the sun begins to set, patrons will ride free shuttles to the headline stage at Frank Brown Park. Once Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert, and Trace Adkins close out their respective nights, the fun will continue at various venues across the destination.

“We are thrilled Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam will be taking place in Panama City Beach,” says President and CEO of the Panama City Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, Dan Rowe. “Visitors and music-lovers can enjoy great weather, Southern hospitality and good times all-year round in Panama City Beach. This festival will be a perfect example of that.”

With an influx of more than 15,000 people estimated to arrive in Panama City Beach in September, not only will the festival bring in significant business for condos, hotels, restaurants, retail, and other tourist attractions, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam will also be hiring hundreds of people to operate the festival. Additionally, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam will be involving local charitable organizations as part of their community initiative.

“Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam will be great for the Panama City Beach economy. We anticipate making the festival an annual event and a long-term asset to the community,” says Executive Producer, Rendy Lovelady.

Three-day tickets that provide patrons access to all of the six stages and free shuttle passes, as well as lodging packages, which include tickets to the three-day event, are on sale now and can be found at gulfcoastjam.com.
