SoWal Style - Charming Seagrove Cottage from Days Gone By

May 21, 2021 by SoWal Staff

As the old one-story dune cottages of yesteryear disappear, a few are still available to lucky visitors to South Walton. Beach Baby is one of the few that remain on the beach in Seagrove, and holds all the old charm and memories of the SoWal past.

Beach Baby has been in the Hallberg family since 1993. There have been many changes and upgrades since then, and the neighborhood has expanded greatly. Hidden and protected by beautiful dunes, Beach Baby has survived many tropical storms and hurricanes, including Opal and Wilma. The entire family, including grandchildren, think Beach Baby is the best place in the world. One quick visit to the renovated cozy retreat reveals why. Check Beach Baby availability and rates >

Our family has been coming to Seagrove Beach since 2014, we've always stayed on Eastern Lake and one year we noticed this tucked away beachfront property amongst the sand dunes that stole our hearts. We booked the next year and have been back every year since. Beach baby keeps to its roots and originality amongst the other beach houses, and we love it for that reason. The retro relaxed vibe is just what we want to experience on our vacation.  All year long we look forward to our week at Beach Baby, where we can relax and unwind from our everyday lives. We just walk out that back screen door and our toes touch the sand and all is right in the world.
