To celebrate the debut of five of Seaside’s new wine varieties sporting a new label, a special wine tasting will be held at 45 Central wine bar Thursday, Oct. 15 from 5-7 p.m. The wine label features the Coleman Pavilion, the iconic obelisk beloved by Seaside guests, patrons and local community. Scott Rockwood will play out front in the Solomon Square as guests mix and mingle over fine wine and food.

There's a frightfully fun time to be had at the annual Halloween Haunt at Destin Commons on October 30 from 5-8 pm. Enjoy an evening of spooky crafts, fantasy face painting, trick-or-treating and a costume contest for children ages 0-12, and one for dogs, too. Costume contest registration is at 5 pm, contest starts at 6 pm, and family safe trick-or-treating throughout the center begins at 7 pm. Come dressed to impress and you might win a hauntingly awesome assortment of prizes.

Sacred Heart is hosting a "Look Good, Feel Better" workshop on Monday, Oct. 12 from 5-7 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Cancer Center adjacent to Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
American Cancer Society “Look Good, Feel Better” offers a free workshop for women who are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Look Good Feel Better workshops teach beauty techniques to help patients combat the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Breast cancer patients and survivors are invited to join the monthly breast-cancer support group meeting at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Olson Women’s Diagnostic Center.
The mission of the support group is to empower breast-cancer patients and survivors through education, spirituality, support and humor. Benefits of joining a cancer-support group include an increased self-esteem, enhanced sense of community, and the joy of giving and receiving encouragement and hope. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast will host the Oneblood mobile unit on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the main entrance of the hospital. Donating one unit of blood can help save three lives!
All donors will receive a free Tervis cup and a meal ticket to the hospital’s café. Oneblood will also provide a free wellness check for all blood donors, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.

In the spirit of Halloween, Furry Fanatics is calling all dogs - and dog lovers - for a spooky and fun Howl-O-Ween Dog Party, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The party will be thrown at Furry Fanatics in Gulf Place.
Enjoy spooky brew, slimy drool, treats for everyone. Then, wow the crowd with your crazy (or cute) costumes, show them off in the dog parade, play doggie games, and win fabulous raffle prizes! Proceeds beneift Dog-Harmony, a non-profit that helps match dogs with ideal fur-ever homes.
