With this designation, Sperzel joins an elite group of fundraising professionals across the globe. Shelter House held the official ribbon cutting ceremony today for the Kind Heart Kennel, an on-site kennel at its confidential emergency shelter that will allow abuse victims to bring their pets with them when leaving a violent home. With the opening of the Kind Heart Kennel, Shelter House becomes the only center in Northwest Florida and one of only a few in the entire state to provide this service.
Band and music education are an important part of our area’s middle and high school curriculums. But unfortunately, with reduced state budgets and cuts in county music program spending, funds for new band instrument purchases in most local schools are a challenge. This has prompted more pressure on parents to foot the bill in purchasing or renting a musical instrument for their child to participate in band.
The newly formed White-Wilson Community Foundation sets the stage for the 4th Annual Little Black Dress Party to be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Emerald Coast Convention Center located at 1250 Miracle Strip Parkway S.E. in Ft. Walton Beach.
The annual Little Black Dress Party was formed in 2010 to raise money for local charities to help raise awareness and education of the importance of preventive health and early detection.
