The St. Joe Company has announced the construction of another world-class Watersound Club golf course in the SoWal area.
Watersound Club staff are working closely with Love Golf Design founders Davis Love III, Mark Love and Scot Sherman to bring the new course to life as an additional amenity for Watersound Club members. In homage to both the PGA great helping design the new golf course and the fact that it will be the third championship golf course in the Watersound Club collection, the new course will be named The Third.

Camp Helen State Park is bordered on three sides by the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida.
Coastal dune lakes are extremely rare worldwide; in the United States they occur only along the Gulf Coast. Prehistoric middens and mounds indicate that humans lived in the area more than 4,000 years ago.

The protected sanctuary is sandwiched between our largest coastal dune lake, Lake Powell, and the gulf. Camp Helen is a true gem not to be missed, with amazing views from high bluffs, rustic foot bridges over still waters, forested trails teeming with wildlife, and a bit of Florida history to boot.
On the east side of South Walton just east of Inlet Beach, turn off Highway 98 and through the gate of Camp Helen State Park and be amazed how fast you go from freeway frenzy to total tranquility.

On October 9th, a night of hauntingly-good family fun is planned for visitors who dare to visit Camp Helen State Park.
The Friends of Camp Helen are once again hosting tours that include ghost stories and spooky tales intertwined with the history of the park as recollected by residents and visitors.
The Ghost Walk and History Tour is on Oct. 9 from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
