Dog Lovers - I need a vet in SRB area

It is about time for my Natasha's annual checkup/shots/etc....

I am looking for a vet in SRB area - I want one who also has boarding as now and again we may need to leave her for a few nights. That's won't be often, but I might as well find a vet who offers that service - we had that back home and it worked great.

So, I know there are lots of dog lovers on this board and I wondered if you would mind sharing who you use, etc....

We are going to be living in BMB - Santa Rosa Beach.

No boarding, but Kindness Pet Hospital is the best IMO. They are on 30A near Butler School. Wonderful with the animals. and nice to people too

I, along with alot of others, go up to Freeport to the Freeport Animal Hospital, Dr. Barr. He and his staff are fabulous and we have boarded on occasion. Just another to think about. Next time you are in town, stop by to meet me and my dog, Skyy, the Liquor Store dog, at Blue Mountain Liquors.

try both, and I know there are more options in the area.

We love Dr. Amy at Kindness. I believe they are pricey compared to others, but a great place.

I have been with Dr Barry for over 10 yrs...DR Swift and Dr Wiggins are GREAT too!...they have boarding as well.
they always give so much extra care and attention to their patients and their patients parents....lots of hand holding and special attention over the yrs from everyone at Barry Vet Clinic.
I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

The Village Vet is great, although located on the other side of Destin, which is a hike. He did the surgery on Cowboy when he broke his arm. Cowboy is good as new (I mention this because cat bones practically require a specialist and experienced hand). Sweet Pea has been to Village Vet also and received great care. Coming from Vet prices in Atlanta, Village Vet was very affordable and compassionate with animals and their humans......although, Cowboy wouldn't let him remove the staples. I think he had had it with dr visits, but he let me remove them at home. Dr. did call Cowboy a Mama's Boy! I was so stressed out with that visit and Cowboy screaming! I finally just convinced dr. to leave the staples and I figured they would come out eventually. Cowboy had no issue sitting my lap and letting me remove them. Bless his heart.

I have also used Kindness and they are sweet! More expensive than Atlanta, however. Cowboy had an abcess and instead of them selling me a bunch of expensive treatment, agreed that what I was doing at home was more than sufficient. I appreciated that integrity. Sweet Pea had to get xrays there and my bill was almost $500!!!!!!

And, I have heard great things about Dr. Barr, but never ventured up there. Good luck!!!!
