Shaka Sushi and Noodle Bar

Shaka Sushi and Noodle Bar in Inlet Beach is a place to hang loose and be welcomed with positive vibes. Chef James Sargent, Chef Ken Duenas and Shaka's culinary team, have created a menu that boasts righteous sushi rolls, ramen, small plates, and bento box entrees, and of course saké, wine and beer. The interior boasts a very clean and natural design with beautiful earthy elements – simple and beautiful, just like the sushi rolls that are created there.

Enjoy fresh rolls like the Bonsai with eel, avocado and Asian aioli topped with fresh salmon and a soy reduction. (Don’t underestimate this one’s simple stature -it’s big on flavor.) The North Shore is a crowd pleaser with shrimp, cream cheese and tempura inside - tuna, avocado and krab salad on top. Shaka’s most popular roll, The Pipeline, features tuna, Asian aioli, green onions and crunchy tempura, topped with more tender tuna, avocado, sambal and a soy reduction. Simply perfect.

Poke bowls come with your choice of protein, seafood so fresh it melts in your mouth like butter. Bento Boxes are huge portions of food featuring classics like chicken teriyaki and short ribs served with soup, rice and classic sushi rolls.

But the unsung hero is the ramen. The bone broth takes a day to make before the ingredients get dipped in its warm bath. The Bodhi is a fave with ramen, pork belly and tenderloin, pickled veggies, shrooms, cilantro, bok choy and a soft-boiled egg. The Bodhi tree is also where Buddha received enlightenment. You do the math.

Sake cocktails like the Shaka Mary, a twist on the Bloody Mary, are available, as well as over a dozen varieties of warm and cold sake, plus wine and beer. Because nothing says sushi night like an ice cold Sapporo.
