Art on Demand | Kickstart to Understanding Light & Shadow

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County in partnership with Alys Beach & 30a.com bring you Art on Demand featuring a Kickstart to Understanding Light and Shadow on Wednesday, July 8 from 9 -9:30 a.m.. The event will be viewable on 30A, Alys Beach and Cultural Arts Alliance’s Facebook pages as well as available on the CAA’s YouTube channel following the broadcast. 

In this episode, local artist Heather Clements Art will demonstrate how to create more realistic and dynamic artworks by learning to understand light and shadows. Dive into how light works, different kinds of shadows, highlights, and more. Then, learn the steps to actually capture effective lighting in your own art in this kickstart lesson.

Supply Needed:  Paper, Pencil, Eraser

Heather Clements is a professional artist working out of Panama City, FL. Her work features realistic portraits interacting with elements of nature expressing a symbiotic relationship. She has been a member and instructor with the Cultural Arts Alliance for years.
