What to wear:
wear whatever is comfortable and weather appropriate. Shoes, flops or bare feet are all acceptable. The sun can be intense even late in the day and conditions can change so a hat, sunglasses, long sleeves or other sun/weather protection should be considered. Also, keep in mind that Hydrobikes have a chain just like a land bike so please don't wear anything that is overly loose below your shins as it could get caught in the chain. In most cases, you will not get wet unless you choose to so bathing suits are optional.Hydrobikes are stable and easy to jump off of and climb back onto. This make swimming a fun option.
Tom's Landing is located at 78 Ricker Avenue in Point Washington. From Hwy 98 and Hwy 331 go East to the next light (County Hwy 283 - Bay Drive). Turn left and go north to Ricker Avenue. Turn left and take the first driveway on the right.
For kids not quite tall enough for pedalling the hydrobike (need to be nearly 5 feet tall), a tandem bike can be attached to parent bike. For smaller children, please discuss with Emerald Coast Hydrobikes.
Hydrobikes are quiet and environmentally friendly pedal powered watercraft. Biking on water is easy for everyone on a stable craft made to stay upright in almost any condition. Emerald Coast Hydrobikes are available for daily rentals at Tom's Landing, and also at the tiki hut at Baytowne Marina. Call Emerald Coast Hydrobikes to arrange delivery to you and take them out for a spin on the Gulf, the bay, Western Lake and other beautiful local dune lakes.
