Preserve Customary Use Meeting
Thursday Aug 23 | 5:30-7pm
Great Florida Smiles / O'Donnell Professional Building: 2nd floor ECAR conference room
The goal is to inform like-minded people of the complicated series of events that have led to the current threat to everyone’s right to enjoy free access to all Walton County beaches, as they have for generations. Walton County and Scenic Highway 30A are “ground zero” in this battle which promises to ripple across the entire State of Florida and all of Coastal America.
There is a lot of misinformation out there, and this is our attempt to try to set the record straight. Come hear the facts behind the confusion and let us help you understand the urgency of repealing HB 631 which wiped out Customary Use in Walton County on July 1, 2018. A lot has happened secretly and behind-the-scenes, resulting in the current scenario which threatens to forever alter the way of life Walton County residents and visitors have enjoyed for centuries.
At the event, you can show your support by completing an affidavit in support of the preservation and perpetuation of Customary Use. A notary will be present to make affidavits official at no charge to you. Florida Beaches for All will gather completed and notarized affidavits and deliver them to the appropriate officials on your behalf.
Your attendance and participation are greatly needed. Come out and bring your friends on Thursday!
Florida Beaches for All is a non-profit 501(c)4 founded August 13th, 2018, by a group of concerned citizens regarding the use of the dry sandy beaches in Walton County, Florida.
