The 4th of July in Seaside, Florida is an all-American celebration of music, food, white beaches, flags, fireworks, and a parade through the middle of town. It just doesn't get any better. Join your friends for the annual 4th of July Parade at 8AM along Scenic Highway 30A, concluding in Seaside with even more fun!
The parade begins in Seagrove Beach and travels down 30A ending in Seaside! Then make sure to reserve your spot on the Seaside Amphitheater lawn for a festive, patriotic performance followed by the always popular fireworks finale—an annual 4th of July Seaside tradition!

The most recent SoWal Real Estate Report covers all of Walton County including South Walton real estate activity for April 2018, with statistics for single family homes, townhomes, and condos in Walton County, Florida.
Single family closed sales were up a whopping 17.2% for April compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was was up 16.8%. Inventory was down 5.3%, dropping for the 12th month in a row. Median sales price was up 8.8%. Dollar volume increased 13.1% over last year at $175.9 Million.

The opening of Red Snapper season in federal waters on June 1st had me running the "pointed nosed boat" with the Federal permit out 12 to 17 miles.
We had some great catches, but boy, that was a lot of driving! June 11th had 'em open in State waters and getting to take the cat boat out only a couple miles sure makes life easier on this old captain!

With drive time “from Freeport to the beach” now reduced to about 20 minutes, the incentive to live “inland” is even more pronounced—and Freeport is BOOMING!

The 22nd edition of the annual Rags To Riches Regatta returns to Grayton Beach on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 in celebration of American Independence Day.
The small catamaran race is a tradition among SoWal sailors, families, friends, and Grayton Beach lovers. Come out to watch the regatta take off from the shores of Grayton Beach, have a cold one from Grayton Beer Company and pick up a tee shirt commemorating the 2018 Regatta. Relax and watch the colorful catamarans on the Gulf as they race to Seagrove Beach and back to Grayton.

The project has support from the National Endowment For The Arts.

From now until Labor Day everyone can enjoy free day-use admission to Grayton Beach State Park and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. The Walton County Tourist Development Council has covered the cost of entry to increase available parking for beach-goers during the peak summer season, as well as raise awareness of the variety of eco-tourism activities in SoWal.

Loving life at George's led to coming in early to treat the staff to a handmade, loving breakfast. The varied and delicious breakfast time quickly caught the attention of George’s owner Christy Spell Terry.

After a very long and cool Spring it's finally summer here at the beach!
The water and air temps are great, everybody's swimming and until today the weather and Gulf have been just perfect for fishing. The professional liars known as weathermen did it again this week... After forecasting doom and gloom all week while it has been clam, sunny and beautiful they called for today to be nice and calm.... naturally it has squalled several times and the Gulf is sloppy choppy.

Grayton Beer Company just opened the Grayton Beer Brewpub in Grayton Beach on Scenic 30A. It's in the old Craft Bar location (formerly Criolla's) just east of the main Grayton intersection. We went on the first day and the food was great and they are already busy.

They have been partners in the rental property management business since 1995 with Gulf Front Realty and then with Paradise Found Vacation Rentals. Seagrove on the Beach Property Rentals was acquired from Marge and Donna Crawford in 1998.
