The 4th of July in Seaside, Florida is an all-American celebration of music, food, white beaches, flags, fireworks, and a parade through the middle of town. It just doesn't get any better. Join your friends for the annual 4th of July Parade at 8AM along Scenic Highway 30A, concluding in Seaside with even more fun! The parade begins in Seagrove Beach and travels down 30A ending in Seaside! The most recent SoWal Real Estate Report covers all of Walton County including South Walton real estate activity for April 2018, with statistics for single family homes, townhomes, and condos in Walton County, Florida. Single family closed sales were up a whopping 17.2% for April compared to the same month last year. The number of pending sales for Walton County was was up 16.8%. Inventory was down 5.3%, dropping for the 12th month in a row. Median sales price was up 8.8%. Dollar volume increased 13.1% over last year at $175.9 Million. Continue reading... What do you think? The opening of Red Snapper season in federal waters on June 1st had me running the "pointed nosed boat" with the Federal permit out 12 to 17 miles. We had some great catches, but boy, that was a lot of driving! The 22nd edition of the annual Rags To Riches Regatta returns to Grayton Beach on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 in celebration of American Independence Day. The small catamaran race is a tradition among SoWal sailors, families, friends, and Grayton Beach lovers. Come out to watch the regatta take off from the shores of Grayton Beach, have a cold one from Grayton Beer Company and pick up a tee shirt commemorating the 2018 Regatta. The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) in partnership with the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA) will join two of SoWal's most beloved attractions - the arts and the Gulf of Mexico - by creating The Underwater Museum of Art (UMA), North America's first underwater permanent sculpture exhibit. After a very long and cool Spring it's finally summer here at the beach! The water and air temps are great, everybody's swimming and until today the weather and Gulf have been just perfect for fishing. The professional liars known as weathermen did it again this week... After forecasting doom and gloom all week while it has been clam, sunny and beautiful they called for today to be nice and calm.... naturally it has squalled several times and the Gulf is sloppy choppy. Grayton Beer Company just opened the Grayton Beer Brewpub in Grayton Beach on Scenic 30A. It's in the old Craft Bar location (formerly Criolla's) just east of the main Grayton intersection.
