This will be our 5th Thanksgiving at the beach. Mr BB, his daughter and I needed to start our own traditions. We do Christmas all over Alabama. I will drive down either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Mr. BB will work part of the day and he and his daughter will fly into Destin.

We get up early, watch the Macy's parade and put up the Christmas tree. Mr BB's daughter had never watched the parade before... , I grew up watching every Thanksgiving. His daughter and I started making ornaments for it our first year. We used nothing but starfish, huge shells of all kinds, and put glitter (what else) and pearls on them. We have collected many beachy ornaments over the years from our travels.

We do lunch at our house (yes! I cook) turkey, dressing, casseroles, broccolli salad, pea salad, deviled eggs (brought by a friend) along with her red velvet cake! Mr. BB took half of it back to the clinic last year, to share with everyone else and it somehow never left his office! He ate over half of a red velvet cake in just a couple of days. Then we do dinner with friends down the street (remember Maunsel that put his aunts painting up at Cureleans) ....then....go to Grandma Dorothy's every Thanksgiving night for coffee and dessert:shock: Not sure where we will put all that food!

Painting ornaments on Friday, tree lighting at Rosemary Beach that night. Then...the Seaside Parade on Sunday...yes! we are all in it:clap_1: talked Beachmom and her crew into it too :clap_1: Got lot's of throws today in the mail, yep, I think it is mardi gras or something. "Throw me somethin mister!"
Saturday night not sure yet, Cureleans has lot's of entertainment that night. Bobby J's girls are playing as are many others. Not sure what night we will work in DeFuniak Springs lights:dunno:

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving is full of friends and family. You know...that warm wonderful feeling you get this time of year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My little sister and her family will be coming here, my mother and husband, Grandpa:love: and possibly my sister and law and her husband.
(and if the sister in law comes, I will make her clean up everything if she can still walk after I poison her  ) :D

Then after an early dinner, all the cadets come over who will be participating in the hunt on Black Friday to strategize.

Oh, I'm so sorry for Kaiboo. Please be safe Alligull and enjoy the time with Brad and your family.

Everyone please be extra cautious when driving. Look out for the other guy.
Happy Thanksgiving to you!!!

Seems there have been many road accidents this year.
A year ago last week my younger son totaled his car, but he was fine.
Thanksgiving was extra special last year.
Ten days ago, a classmate of his was not so lucky. Goodbye Sam
Our older son will be here with us for Thanksgiving. Even though he grew up in Denver, when our kid visits us, he still terms it "Coming home."
We won't have our older son with us for Christmas, so we plan to make the most of Thanksgiving.

He has the biggest sweet tooth in the world. We also call him the "cookie monster" when the drug reps come to the clinic he will knock you down getting to the kitchen!

believe it or not, i am not that hip on sweets, not much on desserts, don't eat chocolate but once in a while - but show me a red velvet cake and i turn into the "cake monster"
