I agree with jdarg about giving yourself a break and using all the best quit smoking tools available to sucessfully become a non-smoker. she's been there!
with zyban, you can and should use nicotine replacement therapy to increase your chance of success.
with chantix, however, since its my current drug of choice, I've had to look into whether I can use nicotine replacement with it. The answer is NO. because the drug blocks nicotine effects, it makes no sense to chew gum or use the patch. apparently, the drug blocks your physical urge to smoke (withdrawals are minimal). the material does state that you should not use nicotine replacement with chantix.
this is just fyi for mangy and anyone else who may choose to use chantix.
