The Mrs. and I making our first visit to Sowal July 7-14 in place of our annual Vegas trip. It's been 14 years since I last had my toes in beach sand so to say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement.

:welcome: from another hoosier !

Not me, unfortunately.
Hubby and I are trying to save $$ to adopt our first child, so we've sworn off all luxuries for the next couple of years.
Somebody have a daiquiri for me, will ya? :D

Good luck, Amy on the adoption! I don't drink daiquiri's, but I sure will throw back a few beers for ya. :D

You a thru-hiker ATJoe?

:welcome:

Not certain what a thru-hiker is, TNJed, so I guess I'll have to answer no? :dunno:

Thanks, Audie. A hoosier and beach legend? Sounds like you might be able to drive I65 in your sleep.

Looks like we'll be on the opposite end of Sowal. We've got a little efficiency condo on the beach at Sandestin. We're definitely going to make it down toward Seagrove on 30A a couple of days, however.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody. Looking forward to this trip very much, but my God, is the wait interminable!

My family will be there in early July! This will be approximately our 16th summer in Seagrove. It is my favorite place in the whole world.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
 good luck amylouky!

AmyLouky! Wishing you well on your adoption! We'll definitely want to hear about it. If you want to come to SoWal during a great time when it's not crowded, try August. It really is our favorite time because everything is as nice as is during the peak season (weather, beaches, stuff to do, food) but it's so quiet. It's also fall rates so it makes it more affordable. It works as long as you don't have children in school with the Southern Calendar. We're in the north so our kids don't start school until after Labor Day.

Paula it looks like we will be there too. I would love to meet you.
I'd love to meet you, too, TooFarTampa. Let's make it work as we get closer to August.
