Relax, it is TV show and a singing competition, not a Presidential Election, even thought you wouldn't think so with over 70 million votes. If you want to get mad, go to the County Commissioners and get mad about something real like the outrageous spending they are doing. Did you know that Walton County doesn't borrow money to build their schools? They pay cash. What other county in the USA does that?

Off Topic: What does paying cash for something have to do with outrageous spending? Seems to me if they can afford to pay cash for a school, then the county is managing its money wisely. Are you advocating that the county go into debt or are you complaining about spending money on schools in the first place? Neither makes sense to me.

A few years back when the document stamp tax money really was rolling in, Jeb! did talk about shifting a fair amount of infrastructure spending from bond issues to cash payment, though I'm not sure how the final budget shook out.

Sorry if my comment sounded like an attack on our schools, and like they shouldn't spend money. That is not my point in any way. Personally, from what I've seen the County doesn't spend enough on schools. My point is that perhaps if they borrowed money, for such enormous projects as building schools, maybe they could have had enough money to include a library in the plans and budget. All debt isn't bad, and when the County has to borrow money, instead of having banks filled with it, just waiting to be spent, they (the County Commissioners) will be more cautious of the outrageous spending. Free money is easy to spend.
