You will be going that way. You'll be fine. You get plenty of warning that it's ahead. Just slow down like the signs tell you to.

Can't be any worse than driving in N.Y.

 ...let the funn begin!!!

yea baby!

Yes, you will be coming that way but don't worry, I drive it EVERYDAY. There is construction and the speed limit is 60. You can go 75 with no problem but any faster is getting dangerous around all the exits. Mid Atl, where is that?

We're going to that aquarium in Atlanta. I think it's in the middle. That's what my sister said. She just moved there. What does she know.

Wow, Duluth to Sowal, what is that 22+ hours?

The 331 bridge is nothing to worry about - continuous concrete roadway w/ concrete barriers on the side, not an open trestle or steel like some of the freaky midwest bridges. It just has a slight grade so that it gets tall enough in the middle for boats to go under.

No, more like 6 hrs. It's Georgia.

OH, it is something to worry about in my opinion. You must at all times watch for the drivers going the opposite direction. The lack of no middle dividers makes it one scary and dangerous bridge. IMHO.

Thank you, and y'all know why this is going to be an emotional drive for me over that bridge. My sister will drive it, and I will try to remain calm since we have my nephews in the car. I don't want to get them all worried. It's possible we may continue onward and take the other bridge in destin. I know it will add an hour to the trip or I have to face it.

Either way, we are coming to Sowal and will have a funn family vacation and I get to see my wenches too. How grayt is that!

 I'm coming from Duluth, am I gonna have to travel that way? Going to be leaving mid ATL about 3 ish. I am already having mild panics attacks thinking about driving over the 331 bridge. Never drove over it before.
Now you got me freaked out like this is a warning or something. :sosad:
Yes, you will.

Steele Mama, I don't see how you deal with that commute every day. The drivers are so aggressive on I-85 from the airport to Exit 47, so traffic has been bad there for several years. I used to think I was home free south of Exit 47, but yesterday that was worse than north of that exit. That's where I didn't want to get in the right lane because it was so narrow with a big drop-off (especially when an 18 wheeler is to my left), where the construction trucks would pull out on me and I had to slam on the brakes risking being rear ended, and where in a few places the road became a parking lot due to only one lane being open. It took me almost an hour longer than usual to get home Tuesday, and I left West Paces Ferry @ I-75 at 3:45, not rush hour. I was literally shaking when I got home.

Well, you will be in my neighborhood. You'll see a tall building close by that says Coca-Cola. I'm there! The New World of Coke museum just opened next door to the aquarium and it is awesome. You'll have to catch it on your next trip.

Mango, I know it will be stressfull for you. It was for me when I had to drive it after what happened. I was proud of myself for getting over it that initial time, and I have been fine every sense. I am just very, very cautious of the folks heading North. You will do fine. Have funn!!!!

Yes! We'll be there. The nephews have been wanting to go to the Coca Coca Building, so we'll try and see if we can do both. I hear the Aquarium is one of the best.
