I have stayed at the Pier House- it is lovely and has a small beach (hard to find in Key West).

Bathing suit tops are optional on the beach there.

Ya know, the more that I think about it, Key West is all about not wearing stuff.

And to set the record straight here, yes I did go to the Garden of Eden. No, I did not get nakey. Most of the people there should not have either. But I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life- it's kinda hard not to. Everyone should go there once- there are plenty of places to sit that are not right out in the middle of things and you can drink and crack up all you want to. Anybody that does not think it is funny to watch a bunch of people dancing around in nothing but their shoes idontno: why wear the shoes??) needs a sense of humor check.

Yes it can! We were there for the pre festivities in 1995...saw this one guy roller skating down the road with a hot pink too too, we laughed he laughed..soo much fun.

My step-mother wants to be cremated and she wants me to take her ashes to Key West and have a big party then toss her cremains off the point. I told her I would be happy to do it, she just needs to leave me enough $$ in her estate to have a huge party. ;-) I hope I don't have to plan this party for a long time.

Your welcome. She and my dad have made several trips to the keys diving. They love it there and love to party at Margaritaville.

FFF and I love The Pier House, we had no idea about the topless beach but you should have seen FFF's eyes light up when he saw the sign!:roll: Here are a couple of pics! that's me in the last one.

It is the best location to me it's at the end of Duval Street (you must do one of the Duval Bar Crawl tours) close to Mallory Square, the Conch train tour, it really is a town you don't have to have a car for. We always just rent those little electric cars to scoot around.

The conch train tours are informative and funn!

You have to fly in the seaplane to The Dry Tortuga Park, go pick up a virgin mary for your house, glass bottom boat, go on the seadoo tour, go to the cemetary....one of the grave markers says "I told you I was sick." go to the Hemingway house, The Truman house.
