If you are mobile, drive up to Marathon. Nice drive, about 45 minutes from KW. Once there, look for the little marina on the North side of US 1. It is about in the middle of town. If you get lost, stop and ask a local.
The marina has a small outdoor restaurant that is famous for their Lobster Reuben. yummy. Sandwich big enough for two with big chunks of spiny lobster.....
Great place for lunch. Picnic tables overlooking the water with huge tarpon swimming next to you......Great place for a "get-a-way" lunch.....

I agree with steeling1 on El Ciboney - I have to eat there everytime I go to KW - excellent Cuban food - in the middle of a residential area.
And Simonton Court is beautiful. They have small cottages, along with the big house, and beautiful grounds. Best I remember, this had something to do with workers that used to work in a cigar rolling factory and the workers lived in the small cottages. I liked it because it is right off the beaten path - just a block or so off Duval.
