Quick...go to PotteryBarn.com or ballarddesigns.com and order a good looking bulletin board! And you are correct...only dull women have immaculate houses! :D
:rotfl:

I am neat & tidy but NOT immaculate...right now my bedroom is littered with clothes still not put away from my month stay in SoWal   ...who has time? I'd rather SoWal

My home is usually neat & tidy, but not always clean (I need to scrub bathrooms as I type this)
I love my home! It is funn, funky and eclectic. Everything in my home has a special meaning: a fire poker that belonged to my grandmother, cherished childhood books, stones & shells from special places I have visited, photos and art that I love... . My home is filled with, not posessions, but memories:love:

Ahhh, Allifunn, that sounds so nice -- "My home is filled with, not possessions, but memories". I forgot to mention that on one side of my recliner office is the old base of the black iron pedestal sewing machine that was my grandmothers and that I learned how to sew on (I put a glass tabletop on it keep my laptop and lamp on that table). On the other side of the recliner is a white tallish post with a 12X12 inch square top where I keep my tea and toast or whatever snack I'm having while I work. The post is a piece from the arbor that was in the backyard where I grew up. After my mother died, my kind brother-in-law took down the arbor (it was falling down) and made the posts into small tables. So, when I work in my recliner, I'm literally nestled between my grandmother's sewing machine and my mother/father's arbor. Very good vibes I must say.

You would find our house neat and clean. My wife is a neat freak and hates clutter. Just stay the he%% away from my work bench. It is a mess but I know where everything is and just can't seem to keep it looking neat. I do a lot of projects so I use most of my tools and just put them within easy reach.

Hmmmm....let's see. I am NOT a neat freak. I have clutter. I am usually home only to sleep and eat. I will clean my house really, really good when my son leaves. I am too busy with him and all that he has going on. I do pay a friend of mine about once a month to come in an deep clean for me and I do try to vaccum about once a week because I do have dogs. Oh, yeah don't wear black or anything dark colored to my house or you will look very furry when you leave. I keep lint brushes everywhere for this purpose. My doggies sleep on my furniture. I don't care. I am a pack rat as well. I have cherished keepsakes that were both of my grandmother's and my moms treasures. Pictures everywhere. My furniture doesn't match, it was hand-me down. I would rather save my money for SoWal. ;-) My house is lived in and that is the way I like it!!!!!

I do have the coolest bulletin boards at my office at church. I'm not sure anything would help here at home...maybe a paper shredder. :D

DITTO!

This is what my mom said too, but I guess just like other things she said - it didn't take on me!! :D

My dog is our doorbell. But she'd let you in.;-)
You wouldn't be able to sit at the table with us for a cup of tea without moving the papers off that fourth chair. That's where ours pile up.
And papers, bills, and "stuff" on the ends of all the kitchen counters. I even bought a special cart w/drawer to organize this clutter but it's still empty! :rotfl:

.
OMygosh, same, I think we are paper clutter sisters.

just stay away from my speedo collection...:nono1:

your OTHER HOUSE is immaculate:D
Other than our garage/basement (which is Flyforfunn's mess!) our house stays pretty organized and clean. My closests could use some help. The basement is not dirty, it is just packed to the rafters (or is it just beams in a basement?), he is a pack rat! Of course the Watersound house is new so I'd just ask you to help finish unpacking boxes! The clinic stays clean too, with some help. I have friends that say they have no idea how I do it all. Neither do I. :dunno: I am a bit OCD about some things, keeping things picked up is one of them. My grandmother always told me to put things back where you got them and things will stay tidy. It is true.

So come on over any time Kat! My foods not as good as yours.....so I'll just take you out to dinner! :D

Well, Like GI-Jo and KDW my k-nine owns the house; she is actually the mortgage holder... Its clean and welcome to Sowalers around the globe; come on with it!!!!:D Oh, but no cable, NO computer, NO home phone.... so it is quite relaxing..... OH, and no young ens:eek:

My house definitely reflects my personality - eclectic decor, lots of funky artwork, photos and souvenirs.

People are only surprised when it's 100% clean (only for parties and Mom visiting) and there aren't ongoing projects on my desk and dining room table! For some reason housework always loses when I have the option of doing something funn instead!

This reminds me of when my children were little. I was scrubbing the bathroom when my daughter asked if somebody old was coming over. :D
