I am sooo jealous. I have put that bed on my christmas list for the past 7 years! Santa has yet to come through for me!
You got a few hours left......It really was a great price. I ordered some other stuff too, so I am thinking the total would have been 1395 for the King set less 40%===something like $ 840. and no shipping...not bad at all. I just hope I like it!

That is fabulous price, I am sure you will be sleeping on clouds very soon. Did you get the bedding too, or just the mattress set?

I have a Jamison, which made the original version of the Tempurpedic. It is made of latex foam instead of batting and springs.

There are several versions. The most expensive is about $1000 just for the mattress. I housesit for several people who have that one, and I don't like it as well.

Mine has a layer of the latex foam (what the Tempurpedic folks call the "memory foam") over a core of what my friend at the furniture store called "carpenter's foam." Kind of like what they have in stiff couch cushions. It feels soft to the touch, but it's firm, which is good for my back. I think you can get them with a pillow top, too.

I got it about 4 years ago and absolutely love it--no lumps or dents or anything.

 NoHall did you order it or buy this brand through a store? I need firm for my back too. Once our mattress starts to sag in the middle (From Doug sleeping in the middle) my back just can't take that one side of my bed is higher then the middle....where I roll to. This has been an ongoing battle for about 18 years.:bang: We've had three very expensive mattresses....and it's always the same.:dunno:

Okay, I'm coming clean. You can get a 8" tempurpedic style foam mattress online, around $200 for full size via.....Walmart. Prices are incredible, delivered to your door, quality is quite good. I've used twice on my existing box spring....all my house guests are quite happy!

I got it here at a local furniture store, but they're made just outside of Nashville. The company is Jamison, and here is their link.

I used to work for the owner of the store, and he told me that Tempurpedic bought their mattresses from Jamison, so the Tempurpedic that you see on t.v. are the same as the Jamisons.

NoHall---I think I may have seen while doing my research that Marriott Hotels use Jamison. I feel like I may have seen that you can use Marriott points to purchase. I know I could have used Starwood points on the Heavenly bed.

You're right! I remember my friend/boss/whatever mentioning that Marriott uses them.
