OMG! What do I wear?

I love Kay Unger. Classy classy classy. I only have one piece because I hardly ever have places to go, but I would have more if I were doing more funn classy things.

I don't have any specific advice but you HAVE to read this story. A local journalist went to high school with Vera Wang, and Vera Wang ended up hosting the high school reunion at her New York apartment! The entire story was about how nervous she and her classmates were about what to wear. It's pretty funny. Here's the link:

I don't know if I would wear Kay Unger to meet Kay Unger. :scratch: Maybe I'd wear Vera Wang!

No this is a small dinner party at someone's home, Kay is an old friend of a friend of mine and Kay is in town doing a trunk show at Saks.

Being invited to these events is my former life. I just wore the designer's clothes to acknowledge him/her. Many small dinner parties, including at my own home.

I used to spend as much on clothing in a week as I now do in a year. Been there, done that. Not a thrill anymore. Don't need to impress anyone by what I have on. The NM people still give me respect, and I spend enough there to get their attention.

If I don't feel like sucking up to the designer at the party (which I rarely am inclined to do), I'll wear my favorite Chanel jacket, a really nice pair of jeans, a vintage Chanel bag, and a pair of black lizard Lucchese boots.;-)

That outfit is appropriate, but it doesn't really reflect your personality IMO. You're BB, you like pink, and bling. Have some funn with it.

They must be Mikimoto. They are beautiful. Mine are gorgeous (thanks, Big D) -- necklace, bracelet, ring, earrings. Although I never wear them since I'm not that conservative. They are in the safety deposit box at the bank.
