Ditto. I have cooked Thanksgiving at my house since our daughter was a baby, and the most any of my extended family has brought is a ham (no work) or a pumpkin pie that they picked up at Kroger. And then they sit around and talk while Big D and I hand wash all of the dishes that won't go in the dishwasher.

BR...you don't have people trained well enough!! The kids are suppose to clean up. All of ours know that they must clear the table and load the dishwasher. Of course now the kids are all adults and it still works!

Unfortunately, the kids are three teenaged boys and two preteen boys (no way I'm trusting them with my china and crystal which can't be put in the dishwasher), plus our daughter. I feel as though she's exempt because she has helped some with the cooking, as opposed to those who roll in, eat, and say .

Y'all definitely need to change locations for a year! Let someone else do most of the work.

I am making the Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes, and Not 'Yo Mama's Banana pudding (her recipe as well, it is WONDERFUL!!!!!)
