The schools can make their own dress code. Businesses can adopt something similar to the old "No Shirts No Shoes No Dice." Yet another waste of resources. (Also thinly veiled racism, no?)
yes any criticism of something that could remotely tied to a minority must certainly be racism, and I believe litigants must be identified and served!

This issue was triumphantly taken up and dealt with by Louisiana state government in the spring of 2005. There is a law banning saggy pants in Louisiana. It was a major comfort to me to know my legislators had spent so much time and energy on such an important issue as I watched that big storm form in the gulf and then destroy much of New Orleans.

I did note, however, that in the breakdown of civilization following that storm many reverted to showing their underpants temporarily. If only the legislators had planned a way to enforce the properly tailored pants law in the event of a major disaster....

You can't ban saggy pants! They help us catch criminals when they can't run away from the police because their pants hamper them! :funn:

I personally don't care if they are tripping over their pants or they wear them so tight you can tell what religion they are. However law enforcement here argues that a weapon can be concealed in them more easliy. Recently a young unarmed man was shot while he was pulling up his pants, the officer thought he was pulling a weapon.

Now I do believe they should outlaw the mullet if they have the time.

Doesn't take much to conceal stuff in clothes. We used to sneak cans of soda into the movies by putting them in the waistband of properly fitting jeans.

And what Macgyver could do with the contents of the typical woman's purse....:yikes:

They aren't banning "Baggy" pants, just "saggy" pants.

I think the funny thing about the saggy pants is that every person I've seen wearing them, is also wearing a belt -- pointless.

oh lordy. do people get arrested in NO for baggy pants? I just can't see this as being something the cops need to be concerned with. I mean, you can't arrest someone for having poor fashion taste, can you? I mean, they aren't showing us their business are they? just boxer shorts. its better than the nasty thong showing on women.

politicians need to get back to doing real work.

Toots, the problem with gov't is that this IS real work for them.
