Are there any vacation rentals that rent from mid week to mid week. I know most are weekend to weekend. How do I go about finding them if there is.

I have not had problems with mid week rentals from VRBO.

In the summer? :dunno:

Like gotothebeachmom I would imagine it would be much tougher in the summer. If you are looking for a great location (beachfront, or a popular area) you might have to wait until the last minute (2-3 weeks out), and then see if you can find a house with those two weeks in a row still open.

Another option is to call as many rental agencies as you can and basically throw yourself at their mercy. If they don't have any midweek-to-midweek rentals (and they may not), they may know of some homes that didn't rent well last year or are new to the market, in which case the owner may be willing to accept your time table. Good luck!

Not this summer, in summer pasts probably yes, but this year there are many just glad of a booking.

We have 3 houses and we are always Sat. to Sat. during the summer. I am on VRBO and often refer people to other owners I know and 99.9% of the time it's always Sat. to Sat. I guess we are all lucky that our summer bookings are right on par with years past.

Yes you are, as many have lots of openings and are taking any 3 day booking.

We still have lots of openings for summer but based on history, and the strong number of inquiries we are getting now, we wouldn't accept a midweek to midweek rental at this point. So it will probably take some legwork if arkiegirl is looking for a summer week. If you want to try VRBO, arkiegirl, look for houses brand new to the rental market.

I agree TFT, good advice. My inquires have also really picked up over the last couple of weeks, as well.

If arkiegirl could let us know the dates she's looking for and the number in her party, I'll be glad to pass it along to any fellow owners that could accommodate her requests.

I agree with GTTBM for sure. There may be a few SoWal VRBO condos that will book mid week or less than a week, but the houses will hold out for the weekly rentals, then advertise on SoWal if they have last minute vacancies.;-) If you are looking for a house, you may have to wait for last minute. It might be easier for condos. Destin or PCB might be a bit easier since the inventory is much larger, or a resort like Sandestin.
